Biography

Ken was born in Vancouver BC in 1965. His childhood was typical of the time with sports and outdoor activities being his focus, he was also quiet and contemplative of his surroundings. He learned a lot about people and life from observing interactions in sight of him. Ken believes that this has helped him form and grow his creative side.

Ken started out in accounting giving him a good base of knowledge to try new and not always productive pursuits. Besides accounting Ken also managed restaurants, was self employed (game start up company) worked his way up in Casino management and most recently was a Project Manager for a commercial construction distributor.

Throughout his career Ken has been involved in numerous creative ventures and processes but would not consider them to be artistic. The idea of creating has always been in the background but the medium was never clear. The one constant in Ken’s life has been his ability to develop long lasting relationships. Ken has had the benefit of having many incredible people in his life that also help keep him grounded.

For the past 5 years Ken viewed his artistic career as a hobby; however, with initial success and support of his paintings, he felt it was time for a change. He quit his job, sold his house and is now devoting all his time solely to his artistic career. This big leap of faith was a no brainer for Ken as he has always been searching for a creative release as an extension and expression of his life experiences. He looks forward to a long meaningful journey, creating and marketing his art and developing new and exciting adventures that will showcase his passion and artistic vision which is only at its infancy.
